Other skills include:

** Handling  **  Hand-eye coordination **  Balance and spatial awareness ** Sportsmanship ** Speed, fitness and strength  ** Safe tackling techniques **  Ruck Defence ** Tackle ball & post-tackle **

Additional topics include: nutrition and healthy food choices, strength and conditioning and injury prevention, as well as sprint and cross-training.

About our Coaches

Troy Nathan and Regan Sue are passionate about rugby and their Maori culture. As ex-professional players and now professional coaches, they offer the perfect environment for players to learn, grow and thrive within the sport.  Through their extensive playing experience in New Zealand and in Europe, they bring the best of grass roots rugby to clubs around the globe, while teaching players about Maori heritage.

Their enthusiasm combined with their ability to connect with and motivate players makes their camps fun and inspiring for players of all ages and abilities.

What people said about the last camp:

"An incredible fun experience of NZ rugby culture building team spirit, confidence and an understanding of the game.  One sentence is just not enough!  I literally could write a novel."

"The players enjoyed having the opportunity to learn the Haka, improve their skills, and were delighted to be coached by the highly enthusiastic and professional team."

"Brilliant! It was clear the kids were having a blast and their rugby skills had improved significantly, but they were also taught a whole new level of respectful behaviour."

"Coach Troy and Coach Regan helped me focus and take my game to another level at camp. There was no time wasted during the week and I learned a lot from them and the other staff members. Thanks for an awesome experience and hope to see you guys soon!"

"Thank you all so much for this amazing opportunity and bringing it up to the north of England. The team have been wonderful in providing coaching, team building, developing confidence and providing support. My daughter has found the educational side fascinating and has completely fallen in love with the Maori culture.  Very much looking forward to seeing the result of all the hard work tomorrow on the final day."

"Not only rugby skills but also team building. With a wide range of ages I was a bit worried for our daughter because she was the youngest but the group was fantastic. Very good atmosphere. She is ready to sign up for the next camp in Qatar."

"The positive atmosphere made it possible to transfer knowledge and culture to these youngsters. Thanks again."

Who should attend:

Anyone aged 7-18 who wants to learn or reinforce their rugby skills whilst gaining some insight into Maori culture.
